Gentry Christmas parade

“ Christmas Is My Home Town” is the theme of the Gentry Christmas parade on Dec. 13. It is sponsored by the Main Street Gentry Chamber of Commerce.
A concert on Main Street by Kyla Horton will begin at 5 p. m. Horton will be featured on a stage in front of Drs. Lamb and Stubbs’ dental office. The parade lineup will be in front of Curran Feed at 5: 30 p. m., and the parade will start at 6: 30 p. m.
The Gentry Chamber of Commerce will award $ 100 in Christmas bucks to the winner of the following divisions: the Mayor’s Choice will be presented for the best music presentation; the Main Street Award will be presented for the entry that best depicts the theme; the Chamber Award will be presented for the entry with the best lights; and the Judges’ Award will be presented for the best entry overall.
Santa Claus will ride on the Gentry Fire Department fire truck and will hand out treats in Carl Gym following the parade.
Many Gentry businesses also will host Christmas open houses with refreshments that day also.
