Fayetteville man with criminal history arrested, accused of shoplifting spree

A 19-year-old Fayetteville man is in the Washington County Detention Center on $101,000 bond following a string a shoplifting incidents on Saturday.

Robert Stanley Finks, of 554 S. Buchanan Ave. Apt. 28, faces charges of robbery and theft of property. A 17-year-old female was also arrested and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.

Finks and his female partner are accused of shoplifting at T.J. Maxx, Claire’s and Dillard’s. Total value of the stolen property was $235.98.

He also faces misdemeanor charges of fleeing, disorderly conduct and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to the report, Finks ran as Fayetteville police officers arrived at the Northwest Arkansas Mall to assist mall security officers. Finks was tackled by one of the mall security officers and placed under arrest.

Finks has a long criminal history including arrests for robbery, theft by receiving, possession of a controlled substance, breaking and entering, fleeing, battery II and disorderly conduct. He also has a pending felony probation revocation.
